In order to review advances in the six countries of the Americas that receive support of the Global Alliances Vaccine Immunization (GAVI) members of PAHO, GAVI and ministers of health of Haiti, Honduras, Cuba, Nicaragua, Guyana and Bolivia met today.

After the Assistant Director of PAHO, Dr. Socorro Gross initiated the meeting, Dr. Guillermo González welcomed the assistants and commented on their intention of dialoguing about the new policies of the GAVI Alliance in support of the countries. Nina Schwalbe, Political and Performance Managerial Director of the Secretariat of the GAVI Alliance, explained in more detail.

During the meeting they also spoke about the goals that these countries and PAHO have reached through their joint work, and their immunizations programs.
