Session 2

Mental Health and the COVID-19 Pandemic

On Tuesday, 27 April, 2021, join us on the webinar "Mental Health and the COVID-19 Pandemic", as part of the PAHO Webinar Series "Tackling Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs), risk factors and mental health during the time of COVID-19"

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of populations and mental health systems and services in the Region is profound and will likely endure long after the pandemic. In order to address the increased need for mental health services during and after the pandemic, countries in the Region must establish comprehensive and multisectoral mental health responses to COVID-19.

The webinar will present the mental health situation in the Region during the pandemic, as well as its implications for the future, and offer recommendations for achieving multisectoral mental health responses to COVID-19.
