All countries should be prepared and strengthen their core capacities for surveillance and response to deal with the introduction of an imported case of Ebola. Preparedness and response should focus on: Rapid identification and isolation of cases; contact identification, access and appropriate use of personal protective equipment, community education, and appropriate risk communication.
