The Pan American Health Organization will be awarding grants to project implementation proposals for strengthening Information Systems for Health (IS4H) in the Americas. Proposals should be focused on strengthening preexisting health programs, strategies or policies.
The call for applications will be open until November 15, 2018, 12:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time), and only those applications submitted through this page will be considered. The application form is available for download on the page www.paho.org/ish and contains rules and instructions on how to fill it correctly. After the application form is filled, it must be saved as a PDF file and sent using the small submission form below.
PAHO anticipates awarding grants of US$35,000 - US$40,000. Financial resources are going to be allocated as "seed money" for country-based implementation projects. The IS4H seed funding strategy is intended to be an early investment, meant to support the project until a sustainable model has been fully implemented with its own dynamic.
The proposal must be from public institutions at National or Subnational levels from countries of the Americas region. Public Universities are also eligible to apply. Applications will be required to submit an official letter of support from Ministries of Health at national level that supports the project.
Applications must include a project manager (principal investigator) and may include a co-applicant as a deputy project manager.
We encourage all countries to present more than one proposal to be considered.
