Motherhood consists of a series of photographs of mothers and their children from around the world. The exhibit is displayed in Washington, as part of the Safe Motherhood Initiative, a call by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and other advocates for the countries of the Americas to redouble their efforts to reduce maternal mortality and achieve universal access to reproductive health by the year 2015.
