In support of the resolution of the Strategy and Plan of Action for the Reduction of Chronic Malnutrition, ministers and delegates spoke out about projects and programs established in their respective countries.

They spoke of advances in prenatal nutrition and care for the most vulnerable, but they also expressed concern over the high obesity rates experienced by some countries, requiring investments in health care and medicine.

At the end the rapporteur presented the resolution with two changes, one of them was precisely the inclusion of the problem of obesity proposed by Suriname.
